I was wondering if anyone has used both of these and could give me a quick
comparison of them. We used Perfbrowse in the last shop I worked at, and
want to know if p4db is better and if there are any compelling reasons to
use one over the other.
Since I am the author of P4DB I am of course biased but the fact is that
P4DB is built on perfbrowse. This means that P4DB has more
functionality.
On the other hand, perfbrowse might be faster since it contains less
bells and whistles.
There are also a couple of other CGI-based p4-browsers out there. I have
tested some and they are all good in different areas.
And here is my recommendation: Don't choose, take both.
PS.
Latest P4DB is available for download at:
ftp://ftp.mydata.se/pub/P4DB/P4DB_0.99h.tar.gz
This version is still being tested but no problems
has been reported.
