Many thanks to Jeff and all the other folks who helped me. I'm rockin' and rollin' now. The working example using Google that Jeff gave me was perfect. It would be good to supply something like this with the Canoo Webtest download, for people like me who can only seem to learn by example.

Of course the problem was my own ineptitude. I had several versions of ant (I have an app that was up to now requiring ant 1.4) and, while I had the good ant version, I was making dumb webtest mistakes, and when I fixed those I had the bad ant version.

I have to say the doc is not all it could be for a beginner, for example it inconsistently shows both 'http:' and 'http' for protocol but only the latter is correct. Who maintains the documentation? Is there a way I could help correct the errors I find, and even add some doc that might help people like me?
