I just upgraded our group's linux server to Mandrake 8.0, and

The Mandrake 8 build provides:

Are there statically linked versions of the executables available
(I think this would solve the problem, correct?).
Has anyone else run into this problem?
Yes : you must have libsafe installed. Uninstalled it and it will work.
