I'm have difficulty keeping my mysqld-nt started. When I first install it, it starts and remains on until I restart my computer, when it stops working. I can restart it for about 2 seconds, but then it stops again. During the time it was working, I installed the Back-End CMS (www.back-end.org), and have been having some trouble with that - any idea if the problems are related?

Some hints from you that might be helpful:

- What WinOS (ver) are thou runnig? - Which version of mysqld are you using? - Do you use MyQDBC? - What other MySQL-related components for Windows have you installed? - Are there any Windows components installed that *might* be relevantly? - How intense do you stress your harddisk(s)?

I am having more or the same problems. I have "some" reboots time remaining before *not* being able to connect to mysqld. It is solveable by reinstaling the server, but this indeed a pyrrus victory. On my box both WinMySQLadmin (the traffic lights in your tray) and the service itself fire up, both taskman and WinMySQLadmin tell, lean back, all is ok. Even the logs are telling that. Any clues, dear developers? My details follow soon. BTW, I am using Win XP Pro with service pack 1a.
