We have reinstalled the MYSQL and the errors are still the same. And there's no mysql.sock file in my /var/lib/mysql

Chen,
The right list for this is mys...@lists.mysql.com
Everytime I start the mysql in the konsole:
# service mysqld start
Starting mysql was failed and an error will display:
Timeout error occured trying to start MySQL Daemon
What version of Linux this? What version of MySQL is this?
And When I type 'mysql -u root -p' with the correct password it would display an error like this:
ERROR 2002 (HY000)"Can't connect to local MySQL server throught socket '/var/lib/mysql.sock' (111)
Yes, this won't work, because you don't have the MySQL server running
And the status of MYSQLD in my service configuration is:
mysqld dead but subsys locked
This error message leads me to believe, typing:
service mysqld restart
This should "solve" your problem. This is similar to running service mysqld stop and service mysqld start, and should remove the stale socket file that exists.
