Thank you all for responding to my posting

Maybe it isn't a good idea after all:)

I was not saying that those features do not excist on the Net (shared link, groups etc.) but, it seemed to me, that when you combined those features to an easy accessable chat tool like Google Talk that it would make the tool more powerfull and would distinguish from other simular tools.

Anyhow, thank you again,

rgs A great Google fan!

I think it good be very helpfull if Google Talk add public "talk" (chat) groups to Google Talk with the following features:

-chat with people with the same interest

This is available in the protocol already, but for whatever oddball reason, Google doesn't have a user directory (which is keeping them from being a part of the XMPP Federation).

-realtime search (the power of Google)where groups chatting about! (example: look if some people discuss "an unknown error in an application", so you can ask for help, or....find the love of your life ;) ) there are millions other opportunities!

Google Web Search does this already on popular groups (since these groups often have

- group favorites: live talking groups can build a linklist of favorite sites that handle the same interests.

Already has this, try using a client that offers bookmarks instead of the Google Talk client.

options: it could be interesting to add groups for commercial purpose-> offering or asking for products or services. -businessgroups etc.

This just gives spammers an excuse. Probably best avoided at all costs.

All those group options of course next to your private groups.

WHY: Because there is always someone online that has an answer to your question!

This site should give you a more effective method of answering
