You should go to the Reader group ( http://groups.google.com/group/Google-Reader-Help/). This problem has been reported before, and my recollection is that they had a solution over in their group.

Google Gears is installed on my 3 computers (Firefox 2.0.0.14 on XP SP2, Mac OS 10.5.2 and Xandros). It works perfectly with "Remember The Milk" webiste but does'nt work with Google Reader. I don't have the green button.

Any idea? Firefox tells me that Gears is correctly installed. I tried without extensions and it didn't work.
