Cannot get "make test" to get load the mysql.so.

The error: DynaLoader::bootstrap for DBD::mysql (auto/DBD/mysql/mysql.so) install_driver(DBD::mysql) failed: Can't load '../blib/arch/auto/DBD/mysql/mysql .so' for module DBD::mysql: dynamic linker: /usr/bin/perl: relocation error: sym bol not found: getrusage at /usr/local/perl/lib/5.00503/i386-sco/DynaLoader.pm l ine 169.

Using this line emmited from the make: PERL_DL_NONLAZY=1 /usr/bin/perl -I../blib/arch -I../blib/lib -I/usr/loca l/perl/lib/5.00503/i386-sco -I/usr/local/perl/lib/5.00503 -e 'use Test::Harness qw(&runtests $verbose); $verbose=0; runtests @ARGV;' t/*.t t/00base............dubious

I have even tried the same thing with mSql, and have gotten the same results. This must be Something simple, Please help.
