Now when I try to build i get: courier-authlib-devel is needed by courier-0.48-1.3.i386

It's an alternative download? Should not be courier package all-inclusive? If so the 'You do not need to download anything else if you download this package.' sentence on website download page should be removed.

Courier 0.48 is the current development build, and the next release of Courier. The next release of Courier requires a (typically) one-time installation of the courier-authlib package. This is explained in the new README, INSTALL, and NEWS file in the source tarball.

Simply follow the same build procedure to build RPMs from the courier-authlib tarball, install the courier-authlib, and courier-authlib-devel RPMs, then build Courier.
