Hi Chris,
Your website is a great idea, and I'm looking forward to seeing it fleshed out. One thing that would be incredibly helpful for out-of-town visitors would be detailed instructions on the process of using the local transit, like the ones that someone has put together on the Instructables site: http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Ride-MUNI-and-BART/
As you can imagine (given that many of us live in San Francisco), we'd love to include more Muni information in Google Maps. We're engaged in discussions with many agencies around the world that aren't yet included, so stay tuned!
Joe

We have been working on a Carfree tourism website and would love to know if you guys want to partner with us. MUNI is very interested in this project and so is the SF Convention and Visitors Bureau, SFO and 511. Your planner clearly needs MUNI. Once MUNI is included we may not need to waste energy and money on this. I just planned a trip from the East bay to UCSF that included a 45 minute walk at the end. That's a serious walk in SF. Maybe we can help you with contacts at MUNI. We have funding from the BAAQMD. See this link to get an idea of what we are looking to do. http://alternetrides.com/carfree/carfreetourism/sfcarfree/home.html
