Hi Allahbaksh, what kind of corp proxy are you behind, if you can share this info? Is it Microsoft ISA server with integrated authentication? Thanks!
Sorin
please let me know what is the other way to install the same. Whether Google team is going release in near future the version which supports Proxy Authentication. If yes then When? Regards, Allahbaksh

Just a reminder, please keep in mind that the Installer doesn't currently support authenticated proxies. You may also see this error if you're behind such a proxy.
Ok, I'm still getting it even if I now put IP:PORT of my corporate proxy in both FF and IE, before I was using the "autodetect option" (which is something I need)
Paolo, what kind of corporate proxy are you using? Does it require you to authenticate to it?
No idea about what kind of proxy is used. I initially though that no authentication was requires since I'm just using "HTTP proxy" in FF but I must be wrong. I need to be authenticated to the domain in order to access Internet.
I used wireshark to see what gg is doing and I see it's trying to contact 209.85.135.104 on port 80.
So it's trying to directly contactwww.google.com
Any hint?
Sure. As part of its client server protocol, gears installer is trying to reachwww.google.comanditcan't. Most likely, the corporate proxy requires authentication and currently, the installer is not able to go past it. Thanks much!
Thank you Sorin. If you need more information just drop me a message.
