patience, and the reload key.
i had the same issue while i was developing a gadget. between the
caches on googlepages (where my gadget is hosted), caching on the
homepage servers, and caching in my browser it sometimes took awhile to
get the latest version infront of me.
your ISP (and other network providers along the way) may be caching
stuff too.
a system as big as google that billions all over the universe use may
not work perfectly for every individual, but it does work.
