Internal help Seggregate Reporters: If this option is enabled, users with a role of Reporter
will only be able to see issues they reported.

Changelog and announcement - Hide issue stats from reporters when "Segregate Reporters" is enabled (Bryan)

It make sense with "segregate reporters" enabled, reporters can't see nothig
(like issues, stats or notifications) from other users with reporter role (and
maybe other roles as well)

As I read in the wiki, this seems to be the default behaviour for Reporters.
Only staff may get notifications about other people's issues with segregated
reporters, which makes sense, since Reporters could be (for example) customers.

http://eventum.mysql.org/wiki/index.php/How_issues_are_handled_in_Eventum

1. beta tester reports bug/requires enhancment, he/she creates new issue with
status discovery 2. moderator/admin/project leader get email about new bug report, he evaluates on what area/department bug is connected, assigns task to the people responsible for that area. 3. developer gets email notification about issue, set bug status to
"evaluating" 4. when bug is confirmed set status to confirmed/working on it and estimates
time and release in which bug will be solved 5. when bug is terminated, issue is closed, reporter and all in notification list gets email about it (anyone can subscribe/unsubscribe from notification list in any time, except reporter/developer) You might want to
test temporarily disabling the Segregate Reporters feature to see if that user
with Reporter role gets notifications from issues started by other users with
Reporter role, from Create Issue form.

Let me know if it works for you. Otherwise, Bryan might shed some light on this one.

Yes notifications go out as they should.

What about if the Reporter "emails in an issue"? Does he get a notification?

This is this same case if you CLOSE your own issue, you don't receive
notification (since YOU closed it, it assumes you don't need notification) *If YOU CREATE an issue, YOU do not receive notification, even if you have
selected to receive notifications when "all" issues are created.*

(unless you auto-create it from email http://lists.mysql.com/eventum-users/4633)

Correct. A couple examples all same project and notification turned on.

User Developer1(deve@example.com) developer level in eventum User Developer2(deve@example.com) developer level in eventum User Reporter(repo@example.com) reporter level in eventum User oth@example.com does not exist in eventum

Example 1: Developer1 creates an issue via "create issue" Developer2 gets an email

Example 2: Reporter creates and issue via "create issue" Developer1 and Developer2 do NOT receive emails

Example 3: oth@example.com emails in an issue oth@example.com, Developer1, and Developer2 receive emails.

HTH

Checked. I am running all 4 scripts. I think they are working as I do get emails from issues created by users who are developer or admin. I also see issues created via email and get those notices. So I am fairly confident that the cron jobs are running.

There are several situations where emails won't be sent, but must probably you didn't set the crons for sending emails. Check the wiki:

I am trying to figure out how to receive emails for every issue created for a project. The "Receive emails when all issues are created" is checked, but when an issue is created via web as a reporter no email is sent.

ways emails get sent on issue creation: issue created as a developer, admin, emailed in

ways it doesn't issue created as a reporter

(viewer,standard user, manager not tested)

If it matters "segregate reporters" is enabled for this project as well.
