I'd appreciate any comments you have on Perforce. I'd like to know how mixed NT/unix environments work with the product. Is the performance there. Are there things that don't work well, or at all. Also, how does Perforce handle removing of directories and relocation/removal of files? Do users end up with multiple copies of relocated files?

All information is welcome. Please reply to my mail address directly, unless you think your reply may help out others in this group.

I would prefer the responses were sent to the mailing list!

I use ClearCase at work, but since its not available on Linux (and certainly not free for such home personal use) I have PerForce on my PC at home running RedHat 4.2. I havent had occasion to use it as much as Ive been wanting to, but hopefully that will change in the near future.

Anyway - for the above reason, I personally would prefer to see the responses to your query go to the whole list (as long as no one else has any strong objections). I think that other ClearCase users may have recently joined the PerForce list for the same reason as Sheldon and would also be interested in this information.

Cheers!
