Hello Sam,

Sometimes we need to inform our users about planed system outage or something similiar. Then we display appropriate announcement at Folders page. You can see sample screenshot here [1].

I'm sure you guess that the announcement is inside of the red bordered rectangle ;) It's simply included news.inc.html file we build from news.xml file using XSL template. Of course news.inc.html file is empty HTML page if we don't have any messages for our users :)

Maybe it's a better idea to display a message at Login page, because a user doesn't need to login to read it. I think the place of the announcement file is not important now, because I want to know what your opinion is. Do you like it or not?

I'm also thinking about RSS file for Sqwebmail. It could have had the same functionality like news.inc.html file.
