Sure, and when the next MSOE rev starts spitting out different garbage, let's ignore that also. Let's go even one step further: why not solve this problem permanently, by writing a telepathic module that tries to figure out what MSOE wants, and respond accordingly (instead of the random collection of bits it sends to the server, they don't mean anything at all).

Ok, so...

MSOE's deliberately sends junk, Outlook 200x practically doesn't work at all with IMAP, Netscape 6/7 crashes all the time, Mozilla has broken support of INBOX. prefix Eudora has problems displaying HTML emails (the least of sins...)

Any other alternatives?

Not sure what your problem is, but Mozilla works fine for me, and it's only some versions of MSOE that are crap. Some people swear on their life their OE's IMAP support is rock solid.
