Jaap,

The design of my component is explained in a word document placed in the sourceforge site: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=95512 in the file JDBC-XML.zip. This document also explain the goal of the JDBC-XML and when and for what it should be used. If you want to have a more precise idea of the already implemented commands look in the java souces in the Test package.

If you to take a look on what my.

Thanks having me sent an answer.

The ability to talk XML is I think the biggest omision of MySQL. I have used JAXB (java.sun.com) for XML, but with JAXB you still need to do all the JDBC things. If you can translate XML/XSD to JDBC/SQL (and get it working) this would mean a major achievement and a big step forward for MySQL.

So, I am really interested!

Dear All,

I would like making you aware that I’m currently developing an XML extension to the Mysql JDBC Driver. It's especially designed to store and index form answers using XML paradigm and format and establishih relations between form answers. A document explaining the design, the sources and a test program are available under: https://sourceforge.net/projects/jdbc-xml

It would be nice if you could find any interest to that. If so please, le me know.

Bye
