Take Screenshot is under Applications> Accessories in GNOME 2.14. It's installed as part of gnome-utils.

ain't showin' up here. rebuilt all of ports tree a couple of daze ago. rebuilt gnome-utils just now no show

Then check with gnome-menu-editor or the like to see if you've hidden it.

no such luck. GNOME-DB Front End is the only entry

Under Applications> Accessories? There should be nine entries in a stock GNOME 2.14 desktop.

i understand that. but, all there is under Applications is GNOME-DB Front End, period. i would take a screenshot to show, but, ... :-)

I saw this problem in the past when I upgraded gnome-vfs without logging out and back in to GNOME. I assume you've already tried that. Try moving ~/.config and ~/.local out of the way if they exist, then restart GNOME.

ok, that fixed it. thanks!

i observe that ~/.config and ~/.local have not been recreated.

and, the first time i restarted gnome, i got a gnome-settings pop-up bomb, see <http://rip.psg.com/~randy/settings.png>.

and, gnome-save-settings still doesn't let me restart with all my xterms (gnome windows) open. :-(
