Hi!
On Solaris 8. for Sparc, I had similar problems. I upgrade automake,
autoconfig libtool, added the depcomp , and was able to make mysql++ such
that I could compile and run the examples correctly. Also , I had to
downgrade my version of gcc. Then I abandoned it for an alternate solution
to my problem.
After half year of experimenting with mysql++ finally I've decided also that
this is the only possible solution. MySQL++ in its current state is an
obsolete, standard-incompatible, buggy and, the worst thing, _unmaintainable_
piece of shi..., sorry, software. It's distribution is completely broken,
even _version_ _number_ of created library is wrong!!! It is so pity that
MySQL guys pay zero attention to C++ :-(((
Can you recommend some good alternative or plain C API is the only way to go?
I forked MySQL++ a while ago so that it could be properly maintained.
But it will not be perfected unless you (plural) help out:
