My thougts are now. It is sqwebmail trying to create the cache right? How do I control which user sqwebmail is trying to create the cache with(I believe it should be my global user?)

./configure --with-cachedir=/var/sqwebcache --with-cacheowner=vmail

Thanks Petri

Just now I cannot remember if I didn't try that. As far as I know.. If I use another cache dir I can use whatever cache-owner I like if I just set the sqwebmail cgi to be setuid that user.

I think my problem is that sqwebmail is trying to put cache files in my Maildir? and it is not allowed(only vmail is)
