From a graph point of view, all properties can be queried from either end, so the only thing reciprocation controls is whether there's a different name for the property going the other direction. (ie /location/location/people_born_in vs !/people/person/place_of_birth). UI display could certainly be decoupled from this, but currently isn't. Not sure whether it has an impact on things like internal indexes.
