Hi Rayson, My SGE version is 6.2u1 My settings are pretty much default.
qlogin_command builtin qlogin_daemon builtin rlogin_command builtin rlogin_daemon builtin rsh_command builtin rsh_daemon builtin
If I understand the documentation correctly, the builtin support should have the new features integrated.
However something I have done to support some of our tools which expect tcsh is to add /bin/tcsh as the defined shell in the queue configuration. I have also specified unix_behavior specifically, but initial state is set to default.
Can you ncheck the process tree on the node while the job is running?
$ ps -e f ... 7243 ? Sl 0:00 \_ sge_shepherd-1253 -bg 7244 pts/0 Ss 0:00 \_ -bash 7341 pts/0 R+ 0:00 \_ ps -e f
Do you see something similar for your application?
