Is there an image from which it is possible to boot from a swap partition of another operating system?

No, just for netbooting or from cdrom. Why?

Plain curiosity. I can do with netboot. My old U1 has no CDROM drive. It sports a running OS though, so it would had been aesier if I could dd a boot image unto the swap partition and fire from there, than to configure the other box for doing netboots.

Now. is it planned for the 5.0 release? If not, I might be interested in trying to do it myself.

We don't suport the SCSI controller in the U1 (or U2).
