Hi all,

Does anyone know of any free software which tries to identify the language being used in an e-mail? L&H have a package that is claimed to work well for a large range of languages, but the price is roughly one arm and one leg. I have software which pretty well identifies if an Asian message is in Big-5, GB2312, or other Asian encoding, but I haven't seen anything which goes beyond that. I have several ideas which could make effective use of such a tool.

Regards, Steve
