Starting April, 9th I will be on a vacation for 3 weeks and by now I had not much time/opportunities to completely fix this problem for sparc64 (one of my biggest problems is lack of testing).

We have two options: - submit my patch now and competely fix the problem later - somebody else with testing capabilities takes a look at it and fixes the last part

As I said earlier it would be great to get the existing fixes into the tree ASAP in order to get ZFS into a state one can work with on !x86 again (as nwhitehorn@ reported the missing copy{in,out}(9) at least also affects powerpc64 and likely also all other !x86 archs, in case somebody cares). I'm rather at a loss regarding the remaining compatibility problem as this is too deep in the ZFS land for me. It would be great if you could wait with MFC'ing ZFS v28 until this is completely fixed though. Regarding testing I'd suspect Michael to be more than willing to try patches.
