Open the IMAP property sheet
(Tool-Account, then select the account in question
and double click, then select the IMAP tab.)
Set your Root folder as INBOX.
That will solve the problem.

That's not correct. Courier-IMAP doesn't have only
INBOX. Additional
IMAP
folders and folder directories can be created using any
IMAP client.
