I should also append that searching doesn't work in the same folder. The exact PINE error is (the same for the below problems):
[MAIL FOLDER "qmail" CLOSED DUE TO ACCESS ERROR]
This message is usually preceded by a very brief 'Couldn't search' or 'Couldn't sort' sort of message.
There are no file permission problems or other file system problems (out of space, etc.).
When sorting, does Courier-IMAP use temporary files or is it all in memory (I've looked, and it seems to be entirely memory based, but just checking to be sure)?
If anyone thinks PINE is at fault, just let me know, I'll turn on its debugging too.
