i'm not sure what this answer means: "it's in your smtpaccess file." the only smtpaccess file i know of is /etc/smtpaccess/defaults which is used to create /etc/smtpaccess.dat (which i indicated does not exist.) and i believe you need the .dat file. following is the error message bounced back to me from a mailer daemon when i try to send mail to this courier server...is the smtpaccess.dat & /smtpaccess/defaults files the right thing i should be messing with to solve this problem?

24.168.194.229 does not like recipient. Remote host said: 513 Relaying denied. Giving up on 24.168.194.229.

thanks, paul

i'm not out of disk space...and there is no smtpaccess.dat file, so i don't know where the duplicate is...

It's in your smtpaccess file.
