From what I have read, overflow buffers only work in conjuction with fields that have been specified as type TEXT.

When storing data into table on mSQL 2 server I'm running into problems when char value is longer than specified in CREATE TABLE clause.
DBD::mSQL::st execute failed: Value for "description" is too large at C:\msql\test\testSQL.pl line 56.
Shouldn't mSQL have an overflow buffers for such fields and how does
this
technique works. Ideas appreciated.
