Hi,

Hi,
what to do when I modified my config.ini? I need to restart the ndb_mgmd but how? Just kill him and start him again?
Just kill and restart with new config file the ndb_mgmd.
After that do the following commands in the management client ndb_mgm> 2 restart Wait until restart is fully completed ndb_mgm> 3 restart Wait until restart is fully completed
If the change also affected the MySQL server you should at this point also restart those one at a time.
The cluster will be operational through the entire change.
Also check the manual on what changes are allowed, there are a few changes that can only be done by taking a backup, building a new cluster and installing the backup such as when adding data nodes, changing the number of replicas.
Also if you changed NoOfFragmentLogFiles you need to do 2/3 restart -I instead since you need to remove the old file system in this case to create a new one with the appropriate number of log files.
And as usual take a backup before you do all this.
Rgrds Mikael
What is with the nodes? Do I also need to restart every ndb node?
Regards
manuel
