There have been a couple posts about problems in getting an authorization token with the greqo library (http://code.google.com/p/greqo/). I encountered the same problem on my Apache development server running on Windows XP.

I just tested authorization using the library on a hosted Linux server and successfully retrieved a token. I'm still not sure what the problem is exactly but it seems specific to particular server environments (i.e. Win OS) and/or versions of PHP or PEAR.

If you're using the greqo library on a Windows system and having problems, you may want to try it on a Linux box. As the problem seems to be with the PEAR library it's using, I don't expect to be able to fix platform-specific issues. But I suspect it will work in most common LAMP environments.
