Is anybody else using courier-imapd with AFS?

We've got it working successfuly delivering to Maildirs in AFS (using the pam_openafs_session module to acquire tokens). However, we've found it necessary to grant "l" rights (but not "r" rights) to system:anyuser on ~/Maildir. Has anybody found a workaround for this?
