For anyone who's interested, I've recently posted a fairly detailed description of my mail server setup. It shows how I've configured Courier IMAP to work using virtual mail accounts set up in a userdb file and how Courier interacts with other programs on my mail server such as qmail and some anti-spam packages. It also describes a couple of programs I've written for authenticating users through Courier's authentication mechanism that some people might find useful.
