Just a quick note. At least with maildrop 1.7 I am seeing maildrop consume 100% CPU when it is waiting on a dotlock file.

I was testing failure conditions and creating the lock files manually to see what would happen when maildrop came across a dead lock file.

This is a little unpleasant on a mailserver as it sits there until the timeout period and removes the lock as stale. Does anyone else see this behaviour (ie is it misconfiguration at my end?)

Thanks
