Seems like the problem I was having was related to the latest PHP download from php.net (3.0.13, I believe). I installed a copy of 3.0.11 from a net buddy, and all now works fine (One problem w/ 3.0.13 is that it included no php3-ini-dist)

Hi,

Trying to run MySQL, Xitami, and PHP3 (Win 98). Everything runs fine until I try to do mysql_connect. Then I get the indicated error.

MySQL runs fine via client. Also, non-MySQL functions also appear to be fine using Xitami/PHP3.

Can someone tell me why the connect is failing.?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi!

You simply have to install PHP with mysql support.
