Gabe, thanks for the feedback.
Okay, since the wide international participation in our TC means that there isn't really a single time that works for everyone, the proposal stands to move to a single weekly TC call at 4PM Pacific, 7PM Eastern Thursday (which will be Friday morning in Australia and Japan) because this will allow all the XRI Resolution and Metadata editors to attend the call.
Again, we will move to this time beginning this week but Gabe and I will mostly like NOT be able to attend this week as we both have to attend a conference in Boston.
Les, can you set up the call for this new time?
Thanks,
=Drummond

I could certainly shade it 30 minutes later to 4:30 Pacific. Later than that and I get in trouble with the family ;-)

Nat pointed out to me the following:
Australia (Sydney) is GMT+11, Tokyo is GMT+9 India (New Dehli) is GMT+5:30
That means 4PM Pacific (GMT-8) on Thursdays would be 5:30AM Friday morning in New Delhi, India.
However I'm worried that if we go later than 4PM Pacific, Gabe won't be able to join, and he's one of the XRI Resolution editors.
Gabe, would you be able to do any time after 4PM on Thursdays? (Again, we're hopefully only talking ~ 6-8 weeks more calls.)

XRI TC Members and Observers,
As we get closer to finishing the XRI 2.0 cycle (with Resolution 2.0 Working Draft 10 almost ready and Metadata Working Draft 08 close as well), I believe XRI TC calls for the next 6-8 weeks are increasingly going to be editors and implementers discussing the fine points of the specs and implementation/interop issues as they come up.
Since Wil in Australia and the AmSoft team in India are intimately involved in the implementation process (including the OpenXRI project which is the leading reference implementation), I suggest we need to find one time each week that we can hold one call that all of us can attend, rather than the current calls split between Thursday nights and Friday mornings.
I believe Wil is GMT +8, which means that 8AM his time is 9AM in India, 4PM PST, and 7PM EST. So I'm proposing to move our weekly call to that time on Thursday afternoons USA/Friday mornings Austraila/India.
Please reply to the list if that time does NOT work for you. I'd like to transition to the new time we decide on starting next week. (Note however that Gabe and I will both be travelling to the same conference next week and most likely won't be able to attend the call.)
