Gai, Regarding the model, when I download it I see a 3 layer brick arch in addition to the two parallel lines and construction line. I'm not sure what the problem is. Can I send the image another way?
Copy along path might be good if you are using a non-circular arch (e.g. parabolic). Otherwise I think it is simpler to use rotate with copy, which gives ar arc. I think it works well if the radius from the center of the arc goes to the center of the brick edge facing the center (and perpendicular to the radius). then all the bricks are perpendicular to the radius (tangent to the arc).
I think there are 2 stages to this: 1) making the arch of bricks, 2) making the mortar. I have come to the conclusion that the best way to handle the mortar is with a wall of mortar that is smaller than the face of the bricks by twice the depth of the mortar joint (or 0 if the mortar is flush to the face of the brick.
Here is another example with a mortar wall and bricks protruding. On one side of the wall a brick texture was used. The other side is blank. http://groups.google.com/group/SketchUp/web/BrickArch5.skb In this case the mortar is inset 12 mm. The texture has a problem in that it shows through at the mortar joints. One would have to make a separate face around the brick and color it a mortar color.
Did you see the procedure I started to outline in this discussion http://groups.google.com/group/SketchUp3d/browse_thread/thread/34083acf0f8f7dfa/02831bc891c5da18?lnk=gst&q=huck+brick+arch&rnum=1#02831bc891c5da18
I am discovering some tricky problems to resolve in the fine detail.

Huck,
I cannot see anything in the model except for two parallel lines, a construction line and a line of text. Also, I'm thinking of using CopyAlongPath.rb for these arches together with your method with the images. I'll see what I can come out with it.

I was wondering if someone would like to collaborate with me on a ruby
that I think wouldn't be too hard to make and would be fun. It is to
make brick arches. I've uploaded an example of an
archhttp://groups.google.com/group/SketchUp/web/BrickArch3.skp. I've
figured out a procedure for making these arches, any radius, any
portion of an arc, various brick orientations, and different mortar
thicknesses. It's pretty simple to do and would make a nice ruby.
Since I don't know ruby programming and it would take too long for me
to learn, I'm wondering if anyone would like to collaborate on making
such a thing?
