I don't understand it. My user can't send the messages to the remote server via my server with Courier, because the remote server has broken STARTTLS. When I send the messages from my server to the same remote server then they are delivered. What's up?

This domain may have multiple mailservers, of which only one is misconfigured, and it's simply the luck of the draw which particular server the message gets sent to.

Thank you very much for the point! I didn't think about it.

I suspect that the remote server has a temporary not a permanent problem with STARTTLS. I have to do more tests to check it.

Anyway, can't really say anything more without having all the relevant logs.

I'll try to grep the maillog and send you the results.

BTW, do all MTAs put information about TLS/SSL in the Received: headers?

Best regards!

Pawel
