A few mailing list basics:
1. Post replies to the list.
2. Don't use HTML.
3. Don't top-post. (I can here because it's not related. :-)

Hello, thanks for your reply. I managed to get past all of that.
Everything is installed now and appears to at least be running, but it's
not working right.
I'm running Red Hat Linux - I'm not sure what version, I think EL3 or maybe
9.
Now, it is accepting email but none of it is going into the mailboxes - it
reports it cannot open the mailbox.
Have you created maildirs for the usernames?
And I cannot establish a connection
from Outlook.
Likely to happen if there is no maildir...
Is there anything specific I could send you that might help in diagnosing
the causes?
Log file messages, for starters...
I'm running all the lastest versions of Courier IMAP, Postfix, Cyrus SASL,
SpamAssassin - and an older version of Maildrop (1.6.3) since it was the
only one I could get to install.
I appreciate any assistance you could offer.
Here is the tail end of the maillog:

Yep, that might be a problem...
