I have tried setting DEFAULTDELIVERY to every other option listed in /etc/courier/courierd as well as to nonsense ("| /dev/null", "| /bin/mount") but mail is always being delivered to local Maildirs.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong here? Thanks for listening.

Perhaps you have a .courier file in the recipient's account. .courier takes precedence over DEFAULTDELIVERY. DEFAULTDELIVERY is only used if ..courier does not exist.

Thanks, but no luck. There are no .courier files in any mailboxes. (Actually, there's not a single one anywhere on the machine.)

Any other ideas? Is there something that I can set DEFAULTDELIVERY to that will definitely fail just to see if it's being used at all?

Thanks again.
