Jetbrains IntelliJ IDEA has gone open source!

The first intelligent Java IDE, which since 2000 has brought you clever code assistance, refactorings and code analysis, has been open-sourced.

Starting with the upcoming version 9.0, IntelliJ IDEA will be offered in two editions:

- Community Edition: Focuses on Java SE technologies, and Groovy and Scala development. Free of charge and open-sourced under Apache 2.0 license. - Ultimate Edition: Featuring the full Java EE technology stack, this remains the standard commercial offering from JetBrains.

The IntelliJ platform, the common foundation for all JetBrains IDEs (IDEA, RubyMine, WebIDE, and MPS), has also been open-sourced under APL 2.0.

Check out the differences between the editions in this feature comparison matrix<http://cts.vresp.com/c/?TheJavacommunity/7307f01fcf/083f95269f/916644b24c/utm_source=Devoxx&utm_medium=Newsletter&utm_campaign=IDEA9_CE> .

[image: 3packages_200x150pixels copy.jpg] During the last couple of months JFrog<http://cts.vresp.com/c/?TheJavacommunity/7307f01fcf/083f95269f/07b3d959cf>released major versions of the Artifactory Repository Manager, including: Artifactory 2.1 open source version, the Artifactory Add-ons Power Pack<http://cts.vresp.com/c/?TheJavacommunity/7307f01fcf/083f95269f/804128a719>that sits on top of the OSS version, and Artifactory Online - the first cloud-based repository manager.

Since we made it our business to be a "User-Needs-Driven" vendor, we will release, before Devoxx, a new version of Artifactory integrated with Ivy and Hudson. Our roadmap includes additional revolutionary features and add-ons to provide developers with better tools and technologies for their everyday usage.

Come over to JFrog's "Advanced Artifacts Management with Artifactory<http://cts.vresp.com/c/?TheJavacommunity/7307f01fcf/083f95269f/34e8123dcf>" tools in-action session at Devoxx-University during the 2nd day for some great demos and hands-on information about how to integrate Maven, Ivy, or Gradle with your CI server using a state-of-the-art tool.
