I'm haveing a problem that I can't figure out. I'm running redhat 7.3 and I've succesfully install courier-imap but it seems that I can't get it to authenticat properly. I am useing the pop3 daemon for test becuase I don't know the syntax of Imap but I can enter the username and password to the pop3 daemon and then it will close the connection which I assume means that it failed to authenticate. I have used the pop3 daemon that comes with q-mail and I can authenticate with it fine. I've tried changing the authentication to use just shadow and not PAM but that doesn't seem to help. I'm not sure what I can do I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem or if there are some debugging options I can pass some daemons to see what might be going wrong.
