Hello Sam,

I am not so clear about what you meant below.

Is the maildirquota is a text file which has the same entry as the maildirsize
file ? What do you exactly mean with Maildrop creates maildirsize file ?

I mean exactly that: whoever is delivering mail is responsible for creating maildirsize, in this case it's maildrop.

maildrop sets the maildir's quota size from the MAILDIRQUOTA variable. One way to initialize MAILDIRQUOTA is by the documented userdb mechanism. It is also possible to initialize MAILDIRQUOTA via any other means, such as via /etc/maildroprc, for example.

when maildrop sets the maildir's quota size from the MAILDIRQUOTA variable, it
will put it into the maildirsize file, won't it ?

So if there is already a maildirsize file, Maildrop should also read it before
delivering the emails, shouldn't it ?

thanks, Muljawan
