Hi,
I have been having some trouble getting the freemail bofh option
working for gmail.
I tried:
freemail gmail.com google.com
as described in the courier manpage, which says:
"freemail example.com domain.com" specifies that mail with a return
address @example.com will be accepted only from a mail relay with a
hostname in the example.com or domain.com domain.
But, when I sent a test email, I got:
Jun 28 13:48:08 vaibus courieresmtpd:
error,relay=::ffff:72.14.214.196,from=<bin...@gmail.com>: 517-Sender
rejected: bin...@gmail.com can be accepted only from
Jun 28 13:48:08 vaibus courieresmtpd:
error,relay=::ffff:72.14.214.196,from=<bin...@gmail.com>: 517
gmail.com's mail relays.
But, 72.14.214.196 does have a google.com rDNS entry:
[root@vaibus root]# dig +short -x 72.14.214.196
hu-out-0102.google.com.
Please tell me what I am missing here.
Just a boneheaded way Google sets up their DNS.
