Hi,

Yea, the /var/run directory does exist. Thanks for the help, though!

Hello,

I'm trying to install courier-imap-1.4.3 on my debian linux box from scratch. I'm building it to work with a qmail/vpopmail installion, which I've heard works, but it isn't for me. The build and install go fine, yet when I run /usr/lib/courier-imap/libexec/imapd.rc start I get this error: ll_daemon_start: Resource temporarily unavailable. What does that mean, and how can I fix it?

This is purely a shot in the dark, but I found that when I compiled Courier-Imap for Solaris I got the same exact error. However, in my case it was because there was no /var/run directory for the pid file.

As soon as I created the directory, the daemon ran fine.

Sincerely,
