in authldaprc comment out the global uid/gid stuff and use

I changed those values but it doesn't work, i had a question: do i have to have both uid & gid in the ldap's user informations ? I only need the cn and mail of the person (plus the password), so that i can search and find his mail, and authenticate him with the password, but does courier need absolutely gid & uid ?
