Hi,
I have some quite serious problems with Pine 4.32 and Courier Imap 1.3.0, OS is Solaris 8 Sparc. The configuration is total virtual users, all maildirs owned and grouped to vmail, authentication with authldap. If a user has ~200 or more unread messages in the INBOX, and has filtering enabled the client will just give up after a few seconds. Strange errors like "invalid user id" or "unable to perform operation" occur. Remove filtering and it works like a charm. I don't know if this is a pine or courier or both issue, but it needs to be fixed. Any tips and advice on this problem will be greatly appreciated.
Also, when there is an INBOX with more than a few hundred messages and a user tries to do a header search, pine either quits and says it can't do it, or it dies. Here is a snippet from a tcpdump.

-------------------------------------------------------------- After that, the server just closes the connection (correct TCP close). There is *no* imap reply to the last request (SEARCH).
Please help.
Thanks, Mike
