Looks like you might need to configure your user mapping in maildrop. If you are using mysql as a backend, look at the /etc/maildrop/maildropmysql.cf

Hi,

This looks like a FAQ, but I'll give it a shot.

Postfix runs fine with virtual mailboxes (http://www.postfix.org/VIRTUAL_README.html#virtual_mailbox) but chokes when I bring in Maildrop (http://www.postfix.org/MAILDROP_README.html#direct).

The mail logs, as others have reported, have Nov 17 11:58:51 www postfix/pipe[6818]: 64B6C428394: to=<te@mydomain.tld>, relay=maildrop, delay=0, status =bounced (user unknown. Command output: Invalid user specified. )

Is it a problem with /etc/userdb or /etc/userdb.dat? Seems like not because Sqwebmail can read the database OK. Maildrop itself seems to run OK from the command line.

Did I miss a configuration option? (I tried with and without --enable-userdb) Would any of you be willing to suggest a diagnostic?

Thanks.
