Hi!

I am urgently needed help concearning the following:

My JAVA program should be able to store information in both Central european and russian character sets. That is, there is some info that is stored in some tables in CE and in others the input is in Russian language.

I have both Mysql 4.0.14 and 4.1 alpha available. All the necessary connectors: 3.0.14 and 3.1.2a.

Right now, when I start the server with: mysqld-max-nt --default-character-set=utf8 my characters do not get stored at all! Do I have to alter some tables to accept the unicode data, change the driver, --defalt property or something else? Please if anyone can help, I would be most grateful. Thank you in advance,
