Thanks Dann, I saw that too, just didn't get it posted back here in time. I did write the author thanking him for such an extremely fast response time. Thanks again.

Hey kennethfrey,
Looks like the gadget author quickly fixed the gadget after realizing
it had
broken:http://www.google.com/ig/directory?url=http://www.abc.edu/xml/corner_...
I tested it myself, and it should be working correctly once again. Thank the author if you haven't done so already ;)
Cheers,
Dann

That is the correct one. Thanks for helping me out. I've developed a few simple gadgets for my own use but it's hard to figure out someone else's code.

Hey kennethfrey,
Can you post your gadget URL? I searched the directory, but I'd like to confirm that I have the right one:http://www.abc.edu/xml/corner_bookmark.xml
After hearing back, I'll see what I can do to help.
Thanks, Dann
I am using corner_bookmark.xml and it's now broken. I think the problem is it's using a div that has the id of 'footer'. Anyone know what the new id is that I should use or could someone take a look at it for me to see what needs changed to make it work?

Hey Dan and thanks for the update.
Following a raft of late night changes, my gadgets are now mostly working again. Although I do expect to have lost some of my users. I know if a gadget on my homepage suddenly completely broke, I would remove it. Of course I'll be monitoring analytics to track this anticipated loss :-/
In the future, may I suggest that gadgets developers would really benefit from a sandpit area - e.g.www.google.com/ig/beta-for testing new changes to the Google Homepage framework before before those changes are pushed out to the rest of the world. If we had such a resource, combined with some details of what the planned changes are, it would make things much smoother :-)
My other concern is that the cache will probably now be storing the old, broken version of our gadgets. Is there any chance this could be flushed so users will get the 'fixed' version immediately?
CHEERS
